Dean Lei Hongzhen Visits the University of Georgia and Cornell University


From April 17 to 21, 2024, Professor Lei Hongzhen, Dean of the International Business School, visited the University of Georgia and Cornell University in the United States, aiming to enhance exchanges with overseas universities and explore further collaboration opportunities.

During his visit to the University of Georgia, Dean Lei Hongzhen met with Dr. Gregory Colson, Head of the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, as well as Professor Genti Kostandini and Dr. Chen Zhen. He also held a meeting with Dr. Dean Kopsel, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The two parties discussed topics including student exchange programs and faculty exchange initiatives.

 

During his visit to Cornell University, Dean Lei Hongzhen exchanged views with Dr. Jinhua Zhao, Professor and Director of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. He also engaged in in-depth discussions on relevant academic research with Dr. Wendong Zhang, Assistant Professor in the Dyson School; Dr. Calum Turvey, Professor in the Dyson School; and Dr. Chuan Liao, Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Development. Additionally, he visited with Professor Wang Lei, a visiting scholar from IBS at Cornell, and Mr. Nie Jingchun, Associate Researcher at the Center for Experimental Economics in Education.
