On the afternoon of March 18, 2024, the International Business School invited Professor Xin Luo from the University of New Mexico, USA, to deliver a special academic lecture titled "Seeking Publication in Premier Journals: Revisit and Sharing Experiences" in Lecture Hall 1329, Wenlan Building, Chang'an Campus. Faculty members and students attended the session for learning and exchange. The lecture was chaired by Professor Lei Hongzhen, Dean of the College.

Drawing on his extensive experience in publishing papers and serving on the editorial boards of premier journals, Professor Luo first introduced the characteristics and preferences of various top-tier journals from a dual perspective, offering students invaluable advice on positioning their papers and selecting target journals. Next, Professor Luo detailed his own experiences over the past three years in submitting to and revising papers for several top journals, explaining how to respond to reviewer comments, navigate challenging situations, and ultimately secure publication—insights that proved highly beneficial for students' research journeys. Finally, Professor Luo shared his experiences in submitting to and contributing to journals in related fields, encouraging students to explore interdisciplinary approaches and offering them fresh perspectives for their research. He advised students to maintain a balanced mindset and proceed step by step in their academic pursuits.

Professor Xin Luo is the Endowed Regents' Professor and a tenured full professor of Management Information Systems at the Anderson School of Management, University of New Mexico, USA. He also serves as a Special Assistant to the Dean and Director of International Programs. His research interests include information systems security and privacy protection. His work has been published in top-tier journals such as ISR, MISQ, JMIS, JAIS, and EJIS, and he serves on the editorial boards of several academic journals.
