IBS Engages in Friendly Exchange Activities with the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Wollongong, Australia
On June 25, 2025, Professor Tairan Huang, Head of the Accounting Department from the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Wollongong, Australia, led a 13-member student delegation on a visit to the International Business School at Shaanxi Normal University. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including cultural exchange, professional academic interaction, international cooperation, and AACSB accreditation, further promoting friendly collaboration between the two institutions.
During the exchange activities, student representatives from both schools held lively discussions on topics such as cross-cultural practice and multicultural education. IBS students actively shared their experiences of Chinese business school education and distinctive campus life, while University of Wollongong students introduced characteristics of Australian culture and the unique features of their university's Faculty of Business and Law and School of Computer Science. This interaction not only broadened students' international perspectives but also enhanced cross-cultural communication skills on both sides, demonstrating the effectiveness of IBS's international talent cultivation efforts.
Concurrently, Professor Tairan Huang engaged in experience sharing with the IBS International Accreditation Office regarding AACSB international accreditation work. Professor Huang provided a detailed account of the University of Wollongong Business School's accreditation journey, core standards, and continuous improvement mechanisms, offering valuable reference points for IBS in advancing its own AACSB accreditation. Both parties agreed that international accreditation is a vital pathway for enhancing the quality of business education and promoting global cooperation, expressing their intention to further strengthen exchanges and collaboration in this field in the future.
This visit deepened mutual trust and friendship between the two institutions, laying a solid foundation for subsequent faculty and student exchanges. Moving forward, IBS will continue to expand cooperation with internationally renowned universities, further enhancing its educational standards and global influence, and creating more high-quality international exchange platforms for its faculty and students.
