To promote high-quality employment and further enhance students’ skills and proficiency in crafting job application resumes, the “Resume Clinic”activity, organized by the Career Development and Service Department of the Student Union of our school, was successfully held on the afternoon of March 26, 2023, at Wenlan Building on the Chang’an Campus. The event featured guidance from Associate Professors Ding Yuelan and Yan Liang from the Department of Organization Management, Zhao Jing, a second-year master’s student in Enterprise Management (Class of 2020), and Yang Jieke and Zhai Yuhang, senior undergraduate students majoring in Finance (Quantitative Finance Innovation Experimental Class, Class of 2019).

During the activity, the guidance guests engaged in discussions with students to understand their job-seeking intentions. They provided incisive feedback on the submitted resumes, identifying existing issues and offering pathways for improvement. With meticulous attention to detail, they proposed revision suggestions, highlighted areas for enhancement, and outlined formatting requirements for each section of the resume.

This activity assisted students in refining their resumes, addressing gaps, and making their resumes more compelling and their profiles more well-rounded. It resolved common challenges such as difficulties in resume writing, lack of substantive content, and excessive redundancy. The event not only elevated students’ skills in resume preparation but also provided valuable guidance and support for their future academic and career planning.
