Recently, the “Industry-Academia Practice and Field Study Activity on Plateau Characteristic Industries,” hosted by the MBA Union of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics and supported by the Northwest China MBA Summit, commenced in Xining, Qinghai Province. Chen Jiaxin, President of the 15th MBA Union of our school, attended the event as a distinguished guest. Together with MBA faculty and student representatives as well as corporate executives from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Chang’an University, Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, Northwest Normal University, and other institutions, he engaged in in-depth discussions on the theme of “Practice Empowerment and Regional Collaboration,” exploring pathways for university-enterprise cooperation and high-quality development of the plateau economy.

The two-day activity was centered around the plateau characteristic industries of Qinghai, featuring visits to the Tianyoude Enterprise and the Ethnic Culture Park, as well as a special symposium. The representative from our school participated in the full on-site inspection of Qinghai Huzhu Tianyoude Highland Barley Liquor Co., Ltd., gaining in-depth insights into the company’s research and development, production processes, and brand strategy for highland barley liquor.

The activity also featured a specially arranged “Visit and Study Symposium at Tianyoude,” during which participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as enterprise management and university-enterprise collaboration. At the symposium, Chen Jiaxin, drawing on his own experience in publicity work, conducted face-to-face discussions with senior executives of Tianyoude, representatives from MBA unions across various regions, and the company’s technical team.

The MBA Union of our school has always been committed to promoting inter-institutional resource sharing and university-enterprise collaborative development. Chen Jiaxin remarked, “This trip to Qinghai was a valuable opportunity for the deep integration of theory and practice. Moving forward, the Union will continue to dedicate itself to building platforms for industry-academia collaboration, guiding students to engage with the front lines of industry, and contributing to the cultivation of versatile talents for the plateau region who possess both an international perspective and a strong sense of social responsibility.”

The event was co-organized by the MBA Union of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics and Qinghai Huzhu Tianyoude Highland Barley Liquor Co., Ltd., attracting MBA faculty and students as well as corporate representatives from various regions across the country. Through field visits, thematic discussions, and cultural experiences, the activity deepened participants’ understanding of the coordinated development between characteristic industries and ecological protection on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, injecting new momentum into the advancement of high-quality economic development in western China.
